Product Details

According to popular legend, tea was discovered by Chinese Emperor Shennong in 2737 BCE when a leaf from a nearby shrub fell into water the emperor was boiling.[1] Tea is deeply woven into the history and culture of China. The teas from china have a distinct method of processing which gives it their unique flavor. To add to their list of teas China started producing Red Tea in the 19th Century, along with its numerous Green Teas.

Keemun is produced exclusively in the Qimen County of the Huangshan City, in Anhui province. The Red Tea ( Black tea in Western parlance), is an oxidised tea. We bring to you the best grade known as the Hao Ya A. It is a light Black tea with a floral, slightly smoky aroma and malty, unsweetened cocoa taste.

Method of Infusion:

For a single serving of 200ml tea, add 2 grams of tea leaf to a pot, pour water heated to 95’C and steep for 3 minute. You can get 3-4 infusions from the tea leaf, where the steeping time is increased by a minute for subsequent steeps.
